Dibrugarh University Recruitment 2017- Non-Teaching Posts for Engineer, Security Officer, Librarian, Officer, Pharmacist: Dibrugarh University has invited application for recruitment Vacancies. Applications (8 nos copies of application) in the prescribed form of the University are invited from the intending eligible candidates for the following posts so as to reach the Registrar on or before 05/01/2017.

Dibrugarh University Vacancy Details

1) Deputy Registrar (F&A)

No of posts: 1 (One) Post (UR)

Minimum qualification: (i) M. Corn. with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade with specialization in Finance/ Accounts or CA / MBA in Finance (ii) 9 (nine) years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 6,000/- (pre-revised) and above with experience in Educational Administration.
At least 5 (five) years of experience as Assistant Registrar (Finance and Accounts or in Accounts/ Finance/Audit Branch) in University/Higher Education Institution or in an equivalent position in Government organization/Private organization of repute


(i) Knowledge of Government Rules/Accounting/Auditing/Budgeting/Store Accounting etc. and regulations of State Universities relating to Accounts/Audit, Service Conditions and related financial matters.
(ii) Proficiency of Computer Applications etc.

Pay Scale: 15,600 – 39,100 + GP 7,600/- p.m. – pre-revised

2) University Engineer

No of posts: 1 (One) Post (UR)

Minimum qualification: (i) A Bachelor’s degree (1st Class) in Civil Engineering with at least 5 (five) years of experience at the level of Assistant Executive Engineer in designing systems and construction of buildings, roads, sanitary and water supply systems, including their maintenance in any State / Central Govt. / Govt. undertaking organization/ Multinational Company.

Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications in the related areas and having proficiency in AutoCAD

Pay Scale: 12,000/-40,000/- + GP 6,300/- pre-revised

3) Security Officer

No of posts: 1 (One Post) (UR)

Minimum Qualification: (i) Graduate in any stream from a recognised University. (ii) The candidate shall be physically fit and capable of handing exigencies in the University/Industrial Campus (iii) The candidate shall have knowledge of campus security management/arrangement. (iv)The candidate should have experience of commanding security personnel. (v) Ex- serviceman with 10 (ten) years service as JCO/MCPO/JWO
Commissioned Officer of Army / Navy / Air Force or Deputy Superintendent of Police or Assistant Commandant of Police / Security Force having a Bachelors degree or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with 6 (six) years experience in relevant field.

Important: (ii) Graduation Equivalent certificate from Ministry of Defence is not sufficient

Desirable: Training, conducting enquires & investigation, managing contacts and handling emergency situation like Fire Fighting, Rescue Operations, Floods, Earthquake etc. Possessing a Diploma certificate in Security operations / Fire safety and disaster management from a recognized University / Institute.

Pay Scale: Rs. 12,000 – 40,000 + GP 5,400/- pre-revised


No of posts: 1 (One) Post(UR)

Minimum Qualification: (i) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations (ii) At least 13 (thirteen) years as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or 18 (eighteen) years experience as a College Librarian iii) Evidence of innovative library service and organisation of published work (iv) Desirable M.Phil / Ph.D. degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archive and Manuscript-keeping.

Pay Scale: Rs. 37, 400 – 67,000 + GP 10,0001- pre-revised

5. Director of Physical Education and Sports

No of posts: 01 (one) post (Reserved for OBC/MOBC)

Minimum Qualification: (i) A Ph.D. Degree in Physical Education (ii) At least 10 (ten) years of experience as University Deputy Director of Physical Education or 15 (fifteen) years of experience as University Assistant Director of Physical Education/College Director of Physical Education (iii) Participation in at least 2 (two) National/International Seminars/conference. (iv) Consistently good appraisal reports. (v) Evidence of organizing competitions and conducting coaching camps of at least two week’s duration. (vi) Evidence of having produced good performance teams/Athletes for competitions like State/National/Inter-University/combined University etc.

Pay Scale: 37,400 — 67,000 +AGP 10,000/- pre-revised

6.Estate Officer

No of posts: 01 (one) post (UR)

Essential Qualification: (i) PG degree with 55% of the marks from any recognized University.

Desirable Qualification: (i) Proven Knowledge of land survey & settlement including map. deed making process, land reform laws and land revenue system, rules/regulations of municipality/ Experience of working in Higher Education Institutions or Campus Maintenance, proceedings for correction of records or for eviction/ removal of unauthorized occupants/ structures from public premises (under the Public Premises Act, 1971): valuation of properties etc.

7.Sports Officer

No of posts: 01 (one) post (Reserved for OBC/MOBC)

Minimum Qualification : (i) A Master’s degree in Physical Education or a Master’s degree in Sports Science with at least 55% marks ( or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with a consistently good academic record. (ii) Record of having represented the University/College at the inter-university/inter-collegiate competitions or the state and/or national championships. (iii) Qualifying in national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. (iv) Passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these regulations. Physical fitness test norms: As per UGC, Regulations, 2010.

Pay Scale: Rs. 12,000 -40,000 +GP 5,400 pre-revised

8.Medical Officer (Contractual)

No of posts: 01 (one) post (UR)

Essential Qualification: M.B.B:S. Degree from a Recognized University with relevant experience of 3(three) years after the degree in a reputed multi-speciality hospital setup.

Pay Scale: Rs. 45,000/- (fixed)

9) Pharmacist (Contractual)

No of posts: 01 (one) post (UR)

Essential Qualification: Diploma in Pharmacy or its equivalent from a recognized University or an Institution duly recognized by the Central/State Government. iii) Must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of the concerned State/Central Government.

Desirable: Experience in relevant field is preferable

Pay Scale: Rs. 20,000/- (fixed)
